Family-friendly and religion-themed films brought in more return last year on the investment dollar than blockbusters like "The Dark Knight," according to E! Online. "Twilight" made more than four times its reported $37 million production budget, while "Fireproof," an independent Christian film from ex-"Growing Pains" star Kirk Cameron cost a half-million dollars to make and reaped $33.1 million – a return of more than sixty times its budget. In addition, teenage girls bring in big money for the film industry — "High School Musical 3" made eight times its $11 million budget — as do PG and G films and lighter fare.
