“Finding Carter” has been canceled by MTV and will not return for a third season.

Cast member Zac Pullam first revealed the news on Twitter Friday. “Sad to say it, but if you don’t already know, Finding Carter won’t be returning for a Season 3,” he wrote.

The series starred “Skins” alum Kathryn Prescott as Carter, a teenage girl who was abducted at age three and finds herself reunited with her long-lost blood relatives.

The show’s second season finale, which will now serve as a series finale, ended on a cliffhanger as Carter’s friend Max turned himself came clean about killing her boyfriend and turned himself over to police custody.

Cynthia Watros, Anna Jacoby-Heron, Alexis Denisof and Alex Saxon also starred on the MTV drama.
