Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has been sentenced to 96 hours in jail for a DUI arrest back in December.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the former “Drake and Josh” star struck a plea deal with prosecutors, which includes four years probation and a mandatory alcohol education program.
Bell must also complete an alcohol program and comply with any DMV orders and restrictions on his driving privileges.
The actor and singer was stopped by police on Dec. 21 for driving erratically in Glendale, California, at around 2:15 a.m. After being pulled over, the 29-year-old failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested and later released on $20,000 bail.
Bell also admitted allegations of refusing to take a chemical test.
He was previously arrested for driving under the influence in San Diego in 2009.
Bell previously starred on the Nickelodeon series “Drake and Josh” with “Grandfathered” star Josh Peck for four seasons. He also served as the voice of Peter Parker on the animated Disney series “Ultimate Spider-Man.”
Bell is, by no means, the only Nickelodeon star to have brushes with the law. In 2013, former “Unfabulous” star Emma Roberts was arrested for domestic violence after giving her boyfriend a bloody nose. The year before that, Matthew Underwood of “Zoey 101” was arrested for possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia and for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was later arrested for violating his probation.
