Former NYT Magazine Editor Hugo Lindgren Named Hollywood Reporter Acting Editor

Move comes as Janice Min expands her purview at Guggenheim Media

Former New York Times Magazine editor Hugo Lindgren has been named acting editor of the Hollywood Reporter, overseeing the newsroom as Janice Min turns her focus to Billboard.

Min recently ascended to the post of co-president and chief creative officer for Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, expanding her purview beyond the Hollywood trade to include editorial oversight of the music magazine.

Lindgren has a strong track record in the New York editorial scene, working at Bloomberg Businessweek and New York magazine before taking over the Times’ Sunday magazine.

Lindgren, above right, will serve as acting editor for three months, reporting to Min.

THR’s Matthew Belloni, Shanti Marlar and Jennifer Laski will help Min with her overhaul of Billboard.
