Somebody dust off and fire up the Zoltar Speaks machine.
Fox has acquired a half-hour comedy loosely based on the 1988 Tom Hanks film "Big." The project comes from Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce, who recently executive produced the comedy "Enlisted" for the network, via 20th Century Fox Television Studios.
The comedy, described as an event series, will explore what it means to be an adult and what it means to be a kid, and how in today's world those two things are more confused than ever. Biegel and Royce will write and executive produce.
Biegel created "Enlisted" also co-created "Cougar Town," while Royce co-created and executive produced the TNT series "Men of a Certain Age." Royce was also executive producer/showrunner on Louis C.K.'s HBO comedy "Lucky Louie" and NBC's presidential comedy "1600 Penn."
Biegel and Royce are represented by UTA and Morris Yorn.
