Ratings: Fox Edges Out NBC for Demo Win

ABC tops night in viewers

Fox beat NBC by a nose on Monday with “MasterChef” and “24: Live Another Day.”

ABC finished first in viewers.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in viewers with an average of 5.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. had a 1.7/6 — a 21 percent uptick from Memorial Day — and 5.1 million viewers. At 9, “24: Live Another Day” earned a 1.8/6 — up 20 percent from last week — and 6.2 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.7/5 and fourth in viewers with 4.9 million. Following a rerun, “American Ninja Warrior” scored a night-high 1.9/6 — its top rating since a July 2012 season finale — and had 5.3 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 1.5/5 and first in viewers with 5.8 million. “The Bachelorette” at 8 received a 1.7/6 and a night-high 6.5 million viewers. The season premiere of “Mistresses” at 10 got a 1.2/4 and 4.5 million viewers.

CBS and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 1.1. CBS had a 4 share, Univision had a 3. CBS was third in viewers with 5.5 million, Univision was fifth with 2.6 million viewers.

For CBS, following reruns, “48 Hours” at 10 had a 1.2/4 — up 33 percent from last week — and 6.1 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.5 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.4 million. The time period premiere of “Whose Line Is it Anyway” had a 0.5/2 at 8 and 1.7 million viewers.. Following a rerun, “Beauty and the Beast” at 9 got a 0.4/1 and 1.1 million viewers.
