Fox set premiere dates Monday for its explosive new quiz series “Boom!” and a revamped edition of “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The network also announced premiere dates for its other summer offerings, including Gordon Ramsay’s competitive cooking show “Masterchef” and the trivia series “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

“Boom!,” the network’s new reality series centered around answering questions and defusing fake bombs, will premiere Thursday, June 25, “SYTYCD” premieres Monday, June 1, “Masterchef” returns Wednesday, May 20 and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” returns Tuesday, May 26.

Hosted by comedian Tom Papa (“The Marriage Ref”), “Boom!” has contestants trying to solve puzzles against the backdrop of a ticking time bomb. When the fake bombs do explode, the contestants and even some audience members get showered with its gross contents, which range from guacamole to mashed potatoes.

As TheWrap reported last April, Fox had an internal debate over green-lighting the bomb-based series. Sales executives had offered push back as the network made its announcement so close to the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing on April 15.

“So You Think You Can Dance” will start its 12th cycle in June, but there’s a new twist this time with the show’s dancers taking their talents from the stage to the street. Recording artists Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo have been added to the judge’s panel, joining returning judge Nigel Lythgoe. Cat Deeley will host.

Award-winning high-octane kitchen guru Ramsay will again host “Masterchef,” now entering Season 6. He’ll be joined by acclaimed chefs Graham Elliot and new judge Christina Tosi.

“Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?,” which tests adults’ lack of elementary knowledge, is hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and executive-produced by Mark Burnett.
