“The Babadook” actress Essie Davis has landed a role on Season 6 of HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” which is now filming, TheWrap has learned.

The actress’ role is not officially confirmed, though Vanity Fair uncovered some clues that suggest she will play an actress in a troupe who portrays a version of Cersei (played by Lena Headey on the show).

Fellow “Game of Thrones” newcomer Richard E. Grant will play the actor portraying Cersei’s late husband, Robert Baratheon, according to the same report.

Davis joins other new “Game of Thrones” cast members including Max von Sydow, Ian McShane, and Freddie Stroma. Von Sydow will play the Three-Eyed Raven, while Stroma will play Dickon Tarly. McShane’s role is unknown.

“Game of Thrones” has already been renewed for seasons six and seven, though it’s expected to end after Season 8.

Davis broke out playing Amelia, a troubled mother fighting demons both metaphorically and literally, in 2014 Australian horror film “The Badabook.” She is represented by WME and RGM Artists in Australia.
