‘Game of Thrones’ New Clip Shows Sansa and Theon’s Escape (Video)

The sixth season of the HBO series debuts this Sunday

In a new clip released just days before the highly-anticipated Season 6 premiere of “Game of Thrones,” Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy walk through icy water to escape the castle.

At the end of season 5, we saw Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Theon (Alfie Allen) jump off the castle walls of Winterfell to escape from Sansa’s husband, Ramsay Bolton.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Turner teased that her character did indeed survive the fall, because she “landed in a pile of snow.”

“The past five seasons have been everyone spreading out and going their separate ways and it’s very sparse,” she teased in the interview. “Season 6 feels like everything is coming together and storylines intertwining and people are forming alliances with other characters and everyone is coming towards the same goal.”

The clip was released on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” on which cast members Allen, Iwan Rheon and Michael McElhatton were guests.

The sixth season of “Game of Thrones” has been highly anticipated since the last episode of season 5 left fans wondering what would happen to Kit Harington‘s character, Jon Snow, as well as whether Sansa and Theon (Alfie Allen) would survive the jump from the castle walls.

“Game of Thrones” season six premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
