Lonow will also serve as executive producer on the series from Universal Television, alongside Poehler and Brooke Posch of Paper Kite Productions and Dave Becky and Scott King of 3 Arts.
Poehler’s production company Paper Kite also has a put pilot commitment for an untitled multi-camera comedy at ABC, which will star comedy legend Carol Burnett.
Written and executive produced by Michael Saltzman, that project centers on a family who gets to buy the house of their dreams on the condition that they must live with the current owner (Burnett) until she dies.
Also under Poehler’s deal with Universal, Paper Kite has received a pilot production commitment on the comedy “The Baby,” starring Seann William Scott as the youngest male in an organized crime family made up entirely of women.
