A Giant Jeff Goldblum Statue Was Just Erected in London (Photos)

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Jurassic Park,” a giant statue of Jeff Goldblum was erected in London.

The 25-foot statue, a PR stunt by Now TV to commemorate the film’s anniversary, shows the actor in Dr. Ian Malcolm’s famed pose from the movie, wearing black pants and an unbuttoned shirt.

The 330 lb (150 kg) installation will stay on the banks of the River Thames by London’s Tower Bridge until July 26. According to the official press release, the 25 foot long statue took six weeks to produce, as well as 250 hours to make.

Now TV tweeted on Wednesday, “25 years ago, Jurassic Park (and one of the best moments in movie history) was born. A quarter of a century later, we introduce you to .” The video featured classic scenes from the movie as well as snapshots of the statue.

TheWrap also reached out to Goldblum to get his reaction regarding the statue.
