The 53rd annual Grammy Awards drew the show's largest audience since 2001, CBS said.
The show, which was unusually packed with show business legends from Bob Dylan to Barbra Streisand to Mick Jagger, drew 26.55 million viewers, and was up in adults 18-49, according to preliminary numbers. It earned a 14.8/24 and 10/26 in the demo.
The numbers suggest the Grammys succeeded in offering something for every audience: indie heroes Arcade Fire played twice, Justin Bieber and Usher paired up, and Lady Gaga arrived in an egg. Country duo Lady Antebellum, meanwhile, dominated in awards.
