Netflix has ordered the horror anthology series “10 After Midnight” from “The Shape of Water” director Guillermo del Toro, it was announced on Monday.

Del Toro will curate the series with stories described as “equally sophisticated and horrific.” He will also write and direct some of the episodes. J. Miles Dale will also serve as executive producer on the series, along with Gary Ungar of Exile Entertainment.

No further details about the series, including cast, episode count or premiere date, have been announced.

“10 After Midnight” expands del Toro’s relationship with Netflix, where he already serves as creator and executive producer on the Emmy Award-winning series “Trollhunters.” The series, part of del Toro’s “Tales of Arcadia” trilogy, will continue with “3 Below” and “Wizards,” set to debut on streamer in 2018 and 2019. The third and final season of “Trollhunters” is set to premiere May 25.

Del Toro’s “The Shape of Water” recently won four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director after receiving 13 nominations. His other credits include “Hellboy,” “Pacific Rim,” “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “The Book of Life,” “Blade II” and the FX horror series “The Strain.”

Produced by Netflix, “10 After Midnight” will serve as the streamer’s first original horror anthology series, though it joins the sci-fi anthology “Black Mirror.”
