Hawk Koch is re-taking his post as president of The Producers Guild of America after serving out his one-year term as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the PGA announced Monday.
He'll re-team with dual president Mark Gordon (above, left), with whom Koch (right) was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2012. Koch had taken a leave of absence from his role as PGA president when he was elected to run AMPAS, but is terming out of his Academy role this year.
“We work together extremely well, and we are proud of the Guild’s recent historic achievement in securing the industry-wide adoption of the Producers Mark,” the two said in a joint statement. “In the year that lies ahead, we look forward to building on the momentum of that and other successes.”

The PGA recently secured all six major studios' buy-in to start using the Producers Mark certification, a vetting process that ensures real producing work was done in exchange for title credits. Gordon and Koch led the development of the mark.
Koch made his intentions to return to the PGA weeks ago, but Monday brought the first acknowledgement of his return via the guild. The a longtime PGA National Board member and has more than 60 film credits to his name, including "Wayne's World," "Gorky Park" and "Heaven Can Wait."
