Hilary Duff will reprise her role as “Lizzie McGuire” for a sequel series at Disney+, the company announced at the D23 expo on Friday.

Series creator Terri Minskey will return to helm the revival under her overall deal with Disney Channel. The new project follows the conclusion of her most recent Disney series, “Andi Mack.”

The new project for the streaming series will see the “Younger” star reprising the role that launched her career. Duff will return to play a now 30-year-old Lizzie McGuire navigating life in New York City.

The original “Lizzie McGuire” series, which ran for three years on Disney Channel and one feature film, centered on a 13-year-old girl and an animate version of her inner monologue. Lalaine, Adam Lamberg, Jake Thomas, Hallie Todd and Robert Carradine also starred in the series.

It is unclear if any other original cast members are expected to return.

Duff, who followed up her time at Disney with guest roles on shows such as “Gossip Girl,” “Two and a Half Men” and “Community,”  has starred opposite Sutton Foster on TV Land’s “Younger” for the last six seasons.
