Robert De Niro will be honored with the Hollywood Actor Award for his performance in Miramax’s “Everybody’s Fine” at the Hollywood Film Festival’s awards gala.
The Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards, presented by Starz, will be presented at a gala Oct. 26 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Carlos de Abreu, founder and executive director of the Hollywood Film Festival, said of De Niro, “Not only is he highly regarded for his body of work as an actor, producer and director, but also for the passion, integrity and dedication he brings to his performances on camera, as well as his intense off-camera preparation and study of the characters he brings to life.”
“Everybody’s Fine” is a remake of Giuseppe Tornatore’s 1990 film “Stanno Tutti Bene.” The Miramax film, co-starring Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell, is due in theaters Dec. 4.
That’s the same weekend that De Niro receives one of the 32nd annual Kennedy Center Honors at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
