News that Steve Bannon would be leaving his post as Donald Trump’s chief strategist had his opponents rejoicing on Twitter, including more than a few Hollywood stars.

Most of Friday’s tweets mocked Bannon for becoming yet another White House official with a comically short tenure, especially so soon after the departures of Reince Preibus, Anthony Scaramucci and Sean Spicer.

“It really is like The Apprentice. Except the part about North Korea. Oh wait Rodman was on The Apprentice. So yeah. The same,” wrote actor Adam Goldberg.

Over roughly a year as an adviser to Trump, the former Breitbart News leader has carried a controversial legacy for his political views, which some have called white nationalist.

“Good news: Steve Bannon is gone,” wrote ‘Silicon Valley’ star Kumail Nanjiani. “Bad news: He is being replaced by a sentient swastika with its right arm permanently in the heil salute.”

“Getting Bannon out of the White House won’t solve the problem. Neither will one sip of water in the desert but thank you yes I’ll drink that,” tweeted “The Avengers” director Joss Whedon.
