HRTS Elects FX’s Eric Schrier New President

WME’s Marc Korman, CBS’ Christina Davis and City National Bank’s David Acosta also named new officers

The Hollywood Radio and Television Society has elected four new officers, the organization announced Tuesday.

Eric Schrier, president, original programming, FX Networks and FX Productions has been elected president of the organization, and will serve through 2017. He replaces Universal Television’s Bela Bajaria in the role.

“It’s an honor and privilege to serve as the next President of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society during such an exciting and pivotal time for our industry,” said Schrier in a statement. “I want to thank Bela for her tremendous work over the past two years, as well as the HRTS board and its members for making the society a vital forum for our community. I look forward to working closely with many friends and colleagues to advance the mission of this esteemed organization.”

Marc Korman, partner and agent, WME Entertainment has also been elected vice president; Christina Davis, EVP, drama series development, CBS Entertainment will serve as secretary; and David Acosta, SVP and team leader, entertainment division, City National Bank will serve as treasurer. All will serve through 2017.

“HRTS is fortunate to have Eric, Marc, Christina, and David offer their talent, time and expertise to ensure the ongoing success of HRTS and its mission,” said HRTS executive director Dave Ferrara said in a statement. “I look forward to working with each of them to create opportunities and platforms for insightful conversations and important dialogues that address major industry topics for the betterment of the entertainment business.”
