Paramount+ has named Damla Dogan as its head of unscripted, TheWrap has learned. Dogan previously worked on the unscripted side at Netflix from 2018 to 2024 and has been consulting for Paramount+ for the last nine months.
Dogan will report to Sarah Aubrey, the head of Paramount+, Max Originals and International Programming for Skydance.
This move comes as Skydance has solidified its TV teams in recent days. Casey Bloys, who will oversee content for both HBO Max and Paramount+, revealed his leadership team last week.
During her time consulting for the streamer, Dogan worked closely with Jane Wiseman, who served as EVP and Head of Originals for Paramount+.
Paramount+ has recently acquired some unscripted titles, including “Making Love” hosted by Hannah Berner and Kim Kardashian-produced “Team Moms,” which aired last month.
Before joining the Paramont team, Dogan worked at Netflix as the director of unscripted originals, working on “The Circle,” “Bling Empire,” “Buying Beverly Hills” and “Get Organized.”
Prior to that she spent 11 years at E! Entertainment, developing the original iteration of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” which she oversaw for 14 seasons.
Skydance TV Co-Chair & Chief Business Officer JB Perrette appointed several executives on the TV side Thursday, including Shauna Spenley, Tyler Turner and Josh Walker.
The news comes just a day after Skydance TV Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer George Cheeks locked in his leadership team Wednesday, which will see Warner Bros. Television Group Head Channing Dungey continue in her role as Matt Thunell continues to oversee Paramount Television Studios. Likewise, David Stapf and Amy Reisenbach will continue to lead CBS Studios and CBS Entertainment.
There is still a vacant spot on the Paramount+ Originals side as head Jane Wiseman exited as part of Bloys’ restructuring last week.
