Heads up, ninjas: Insane Clown Posse are coming to television.
The hip-hop duo of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope — who call their fans ninjas and captivated the internet with the video "Miracles" — are getting a new show on Fuse, "Insane Clown Posse Theater."
They shot in New York City on Sunday outside the People's Improv Theater, where your humble correspondent happened to be walking. (I also exchanged a friendly nod with Shaggy 2 Dope.)
ICP previously had an online show at Fuse.tv. In the new series, they will weigh in on music and popular culture, as well as offer comedy sketches and interviews with special guests. Insane Clown Posse Theater is produced by Fuse and is set to premiere on Wednesday, July 24th.
The duo have earned a rabid fan following, but also the derision of people baffled by their appearance, their annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival, and such "Miracles" lyrics as "Stop and look around, it's all astounding/Water, fire, air and dirt/F—ing magnets, how do they work?"
The group is so difficult to satirize that "Saturday Night Live" once did a parody of the "Miracles" that was almost identical to the original video.
