James Franco Directs a Murderous Maniac in ‘Child of God’ Trailer (Video)

The indie drama, which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival, is based on a book by “No Country for Old Men” author Cormac McCarthy

The first full trailer for James Franco‘s adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s 1973 novel “Child of God” has landed online, and it looks like there’s plenty of death awaiting audiences.

Scott Haze — who was also in Franco’s William Faulkner adaptation, “As I Lay Dying” —  stars as a sadistic maniac who goes on a killing spree in 1960s Tennessee.
