Jenna Dewan will not return as host of NBC’s “World of Dance” for Season 3, the actress and dancer announced on Monday.

“I have some news to share: I will not be returning to the show as host for season 3,” Dewan wrote on Instagram. “But! I won’t be able to stay away for long, and plan to return to mentor contestants as much as possible.”

Dewan has been host of the summer competition show for the past two seasons. Executive producer Jennifer Lopez, along with Derek Hough and Ne-Yo serve as judges.

“It has been an absolute thrill to be a part of this incredible, groundbreaking show from the very beginning, and I am forever grateful to my [NBC] family, [Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo] and everyone involved in this journey,” she wrote.

Dewan, whose breakout acting role came in the 2006 dance film “Step Up,” has a recurring role in the current season of Fox’s “The Resident” and is set to star in the upcoming Netflix series “Mixtape.”
