While the trailer for “Mother!”, which debuted earlier this week,” left a mark on us, filming the Darren Aronofsky movie also left a mark on lead actress Jennifer Lawrence.
In an interview with Vogue, the Oscar winner said that filming got so intense on the thriller that she hyperventilated and dislocated a rib.
“I ended up getting on oxygen,” she said. “I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren’s like, ‘It was out of focus; we’ve got to do it again.’ And I was just like, ‘Go f— yourself.'”

“Mother!’ revolves around a couple, whose relationship gets tested when disruptive, uninvited guests arrive at their home. And, clearly, things get deadly. Lawrence and Javier Bardem lead a cast, which also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Domnhall Gleeson, Ed Harris and Kristen Wiig.
“I had to go to a darker place than I’ve ever been in my life… I didn’t know if I’d be able to come out OK,” she said about filming.
In fact, to decompress, the crew needed to assemble a “Kardashian tent” for the actress to turn to after long days of filming.

“It was a tent that had pictures of the Kardashians and ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ playing on a loop — and gumballs,” Lawrence added. “My happy place.”
This is the first collaboration for real-life couple Aronofsky and Lawrence.
The film hits theaters Sept. 15.
