Can we get “We Didn’t See That Coming” for $500, Alex?

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek showed off his rapping skills — such as they are — during Wednesday night’s episode of the game show, rattling off the lyrics to his fellow Canadian Drake’s “Jumpman.”

In the process, Trebek captured the hearts of social media users across Twitter.

The $400 clue, in the “Musical Acts” category, read, “This Canadian rapped, ‘Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman, them boys up to somethin,’ uh uh uh, I think I need some Robitussin.”

The normally reserved game-show host could have opted to dryly recite the lines. But he decided to go the extra mile, enchanting the Twitterati in the process.

“Lmao Alex Trebek reading these lyrics was just as hilarious as I thought it would be,” one Trebek fan enthused.

“Alex Trebek has been killing the Twitter trends! I’m pretty sure this made @Drake snicker,” another weighed in.

Still another Trebek advocate touted the therapeutic value of the host’s rapping efforts, writing, “I thought I was lame for laying in bed watching Jeopardy until Alex Trebek had to rap part of Jumpman for a clue, so now I don’t care.”

This isn’t Trebek’s first foray into the rap game; last year, he took a stab at the theme song from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
