Ovation has greenlit the new series “Young Marvels,” about America’s arts prodigies, and announced second seasons of “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” with Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe and “The Fashion Fund,” starring Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, and J.Crew’s Jenna Lyons.
“Young Marvels” will debut this summer with 12 half-hour episodes profiling prodigies in dance, singing and musical instruments. The series is produced by Tremendous! Entertainment.
Season 2 of “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” reunites Hamm and Radcliffe as the elder and younger versions of the same character. The series is a Big Talk Production in association with Points West Pictures, Jon Hamm‘s production company, and is distributed by BBC Worldwide North America. Season two premiere will premiere on Ovation this summer.
Season 2 of “The Fashion Fund,” premiering in the fall, finds a new team of designers competing for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Designer of the Year title and prize. It is produced by Condé Nast Entertainment, Break Thru Films and Ovation.
“Our programming department is firing on all cylinders and we’ve got one of the most-exciting slates to date,” said Ovation senior vice president of programming and production Scott Woodward. “We are particularly proud of these three series, as they really exemplify the kind of quality and focus we are looking for in the content we feature. … We continue to present a wide variety of cutting edge artistic pursuits. And these are just a few of the series in the pipeline, with many, many more to come.”
