Kate Winslet, Idris Elba Fight for Their Lives in 'The Mountain Between Us' Trailer (Video)

Kate Winslet and Idris Elba get stranded on an icy mountain range after a tragic plane crash in the first trailer for Fox’s “The Mountain Between Us.”

Two strangers find themselves not being able to hop on a flight out of a small airport, but Winslet’s character manages to find a private aircraft to take both passengers to where they need to go. The plane later goes down, forcing both (plus a dog) to work together and fight the extreme weather with little food, water and shelter.

“I don’t want to die up here because you are too scared to take a risk,” Winslet’s character says.

“No one knows where we are,” she adds.

Beau Bridges and Demot Mulroney also star in the movie directed by Hany Abu-Assad. Chris Weitz and J. Mills Goodloe wrote the screenplay based on the book by Charles Martin.

The drama will hit theaters on October 20, 2017. Before then, Elba will star opposite Matthew McConaughey in “The Dark Tower.” He also next stars in “Molly’s Game” alongside Jessica Chastain, as well as “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Winslet was last seen in “Collateral Beauty” and will next be seen in Woody Allen’s drama “Wonder Wheel,” which also stars Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple and Jim Belushi.
