Tuesday marked the 22nd anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death at age 27, a grim milestone that didn’t go unrecognized by his daughter, Frances Bean.

Cobain, 23, took to Instagram on Tuesday to pay tribute to her father, who took his own life on April 5, 1994.

She also paid tribute to former Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley, who died on the same date in 2002 at age 34.

“Rest in peace, you two beautiful souls,” Cobain wrote, accompanied by side-by-side photos of Cobain and Staley.

In light of the anniversary, fans took to social media on Tuesday to offer their tributes, including “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” actor Johnny Whitworth, who wrote, “22yrs-what could of been.If ur insides r broken don’t give up.”

Dan Kanter, producer and former lead guitarist for Justin Bieber, offered, “Remembering #kurtcobain #RIP.”

British actor Michael Parr, of the soap opera “Emmerdale,” chose to pay tribute with the quote “”I’m so happy coz today I found my friends…..they’re in my head,” from Nirvana’s “Lithium.”
