Lamar Odom made his first public appearance Thursday since being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October, showing up at the fashion show for Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York, People reported.
Odom entered the event behind West before taking a seat alongside his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian — the sister of West’s wife, Kim Kardashian.
Odom has spent the past few months recovering from the health crisis suffered at the Love Ranch in Nevada. The former NBA star had booked himself into the brothel for a five-day. $75,000 stay, but ended up being rushed to hospital after collapsing on Oct. 13.
Odom, 36, who’s struggled with substance abuse in the past, had admitted to taking cocaine prior to arriving at the brothel. Emergency calls after the former Los Angeles Lakers player was found indicated that he had taken up to 10 herbal sexual stimulants during his stay. A subsequent investigation found that there was evidence that he had also used cocaine, however, Odom was not charged in relation to the incident.
After initial hospitalization in Nevada, Odom was transported to Los Angeles. In January, he was released from the hospital in order to continue his recovery at a private rehabilitation facility.
