Mark might be the nicest guy in America. As rapper Juvenile might say (though probably not in this context), he gets it from his mama.
The latest subject of “Long Lost Family” approached TLC to find his biological mother, who sounded like a pretty terrific lady herself. Unfortunately, she passed away from breast cancer some years ago.
Mark’s mother-by-blood had another child, Rebecca, who was not given up for adoption — and she’s down to meet the musician.
But does Mark feel the same way?
“Heck yeah,” he wants to meet her, Mark says in the above clip, which is exclusive to TheWrap. “I think I have a thousand questions, at least.”
Mark then reads a pretty heartbreaking letter from his half-sister aloud. Rebecca writes that on her deathbed, their shared mom prayed Mark would forgive her for giving him up.
“Forgive her? That’s rich,” he said. “There’s nothing to forgive. That’s amazing.”
