Emmy winners "Modern Family" and "Mad Men" are among the television series nominated by the Producers Guild of America in the TV categories for its 23rd annual Producers Guild Awards.
In the comedy series category, "Modern Family" will be going up against "30 Rock," "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee" and "Parks and Recreation." In the drama series field, "Mad Men" will compete against "Boardwalk Empire," "Dexter," "Game of Thrones" and "The Good Wife."
The PGA also nominated shows in live entertainment, competition television and non-fiction television categories, where the contenders include "Real Time With Bill Maher," "Saturday Night Live," "American Idol," "Dancing With the Stars," "Undercover Boss" and "American Masters."
"Modern Family" and "Mad Men" both won PGA Awards in their categories last year, as did this year's nominees "The Colbert Report" and "Deadliest Catch."
The PGA is doling out its nominees by category (last week was the documentary film nominees), but will not announce its feature film contenders until January 3.
The awards will be given out at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 21.
