New series from Bryan Reisberg, the creator behind the Corgi-focused channel madmax_fluffyroad (4.2 million TikTok followers), and Noah Rinsky, the creator of the comedy account oldjewishmen (632,000 Instagram followers), are currently in development, TheWrap has exclusive learned. Reisberg and Rinsky are part of four shows that are coming from the 360 creator management firm and content studio Unicorn.
These series aren’t the first time Unicorn has invested in creator-owned IP. The company is behind the YouTube show “Human Trials” (64,000 YouTube subscribers), which is hosted by comedian Mark Normand and challenges comedians to perform in front of hyper-specific live audiences, such as 50 bald men or 50 clowns. The series generated 25 million views in its first week of launch.
Unicorn will be expanding its development slate with four more series. The first is a weekly news show that focuses on the ever-changing world of prediction markets. “Oddsmen” is co-created by Rinsky, the creator of @oldjewishmen.
Next up is the feel-good series “The Pit Crew,” which comes from dog lovers Reisberg and Philipp Kostelecky. The show will follow the two hosts and their friends as they stop dogs on the streets of New York City and try to give them the best one minute of their lives. Treats, toys, belly rubs and pup cups will all be in play.
“Pitch Your Sitch” is being described as “Shark Tank” meets “Product Hunt,” the curation hub that promises visitors the best new products every day. Entrepreneurs, creators, authors and innovators will be given one minute to pitch why their latest venture deserves the Internet’s attention.
Last but not least is “Johnny in Motion,” a fitness-focused show from creator Johnny Novo (154,000 Instagram followers). Novo will challenge himself to walk 100,000 steps in 100 cities across the world.
“We’re constantly obsessing over sectors in our culture that seem generally slept on from an IP perspective — and then forge our positioning within it,” said Scott Dunn and Chris Gera, co-founders of Unicorn. “We like to zag and embrace the weird, all while offering real utility beyond sheer entertainment. Our slate reflects mere-corners of our creative imagination that we’re eager to actualize into new Unicorn-produced IP.”
Dunn and Gera launched Unicorn a little over a year ago. Rather than only providing a management home for its clients, Unicorn also offers in-house content development and production. This is in addition to more traditional brand partnerships and consumer product launches. Prior to starting Unicorn, Dunn co-created Julian Shapiro-Barnum’s “Recess Therapy” and Robby Berger’s, aka Bobby Fairways, “Bob Does Sports” at Doing Things Media. Dunn discovered Shapiro-Barnum and worked closely with the creator to develop, produce and market “Recess Therapy” until he left the company in 2024. As for Gera, he previously led led digital content strategy at BuzzFeed and Comedy Central.
