Melania Trump has not publicly addressed the Stormy Daniels interview on “60 Minutes,” but her spokesperson has issued one request for the media in its ongoing coverage of the scandal — keep the children out of it.

“While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious gossip, Id like to remind people there’s a minor child who’s name should be kept out of news stories when at all possible,” Stephanie Grisham tweeted the day of the interview.

In the much-discussed sit-down with Anderson Cooper on Sunday, Daniels – whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — said she had an affair with President Trump in 2006, which would have been one year into his marriage to Melania and shortly after the birth of their youngest son, now 12 years old.

Grisham also said in a separate statement that the First Lady did not watch the interview over the weekend: “She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects.”

Sunday’s “60 Minutes” scored the show’s biggest audience since 2008, with 22 million viewers tuning in to hear Daniels address the scandal. Read more about the interview here.
