‘Mob Wives’ Exclusive: Spin-Off Could Expand to Miami, Las Vegas or Chicago

Ben Silverman says cities with rich mob histories eyed for possible franchise

The "Mob Wives" are looking to expand their operation.

A spin-off of the VH1 hit isn't a go yet, but talks are underway to launch a new show in one of several cities with, shall we say, family connections.

"There are conversations right now going on about a 'Mob Wives' extension, absolutely," Ben Silverman, whose Electus studio executive produces the show with The Weinstein Company, told TheWrap. "The mob is everywhere and so are their wives."

As for where it would be set, he added: "I think the iconic locations you would expect are right — the places that are characterized from all the great films, whether it be Chicago or Las Vegas or Miami."

“Mob Wives,” created by Jennifer Graziano of JustJenn Productions, follows four Staten Island women who try to carry on without their made men.

VH1 picked up the show for a second season and a reunion special after only five episodes, averaging 1.3 million viewers a week.

The reunion episode wil air July 10 at 8 p.m., and season 2 is expected to premiere this fall.
