MPAA Senior Executive Michael O’Leary Resigns

Top lobbyist leaves organization after 9 years

Michael O’Leary, the MPAA’s Senior Executive Vice President for Global Policy and External Affairs, is exiting at the end of this month, the trade organization said Wednesday.

The organization’s top lobbyist is exiting after nine years and will maintain an advisory role during the transition.

O’Leary joined the MPAA in 2005. During his time with the organization he oversaw the development of the MPAA’s Global Policy team which was tasked with enhancing the MPAA’s policy goals around the world.

“It is difficult to leave a place after nine great years, but the time is right,” O’Leary said. “I will miss working with so many talented people, but I am very proud of my time at the MPAA and everything we accomplished together.”
