MSNBC Pranked by Man Claiming Howard Stern’s Fart Downed Malaysia Flight (Video)

“It would appear the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern’s ass,” says the jokester

In its continuing coverage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, which was downed Thursday, MSNBC accidentally gave airtime to a prankster.

“Please tell us what you saw there on the ground in Ukraine,” asked Krystal Ball of “The Cycle,” who thought she’d lined up an eye-witness phone interview with U.S. Staff Sgt. Michael Boyd.

“I saw a projectile flying through the sky,” the man responded. “And it would appear the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern’s ass.”

It’s unclear Ball even noticed his farcical response because she inexplicably kept the interview going.

“So it would appear the plane was shot down,” she continued. “Can you tell us anything more from your military training of what sort of missile system that may have been coming from?”

“Well, you’re a dumbass aren’t you?” he said, surprised MSNBC hadn’t yet terminated the interview. The network then cut quickly to a commercial break.

As TheWrap previously reported, the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 that was reportedly shot down Thursday morning carried 295 people. All are presumed dead.
