"Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will be lowered in a ball as she and her "Jersey Shore" castmates help ring in the apocalypse new year for the "MTV New Year's Bash."
While the slowly descending Snooki tracks the countdown to midnight, the rest of the cast will try to lead the crowd to break the Guinness world record for consecutive fist-pumping.
Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio will be the house DJ, comedian Whitney Cummings will host, and Florida will perform. The show will celebrate — and bash — the biggest moments of 2010.
The "Jersey Shore" cast will also preview the third season of the show, which returns in January.
Don't worry, purists: the regular ball will drop, too.
