NBC’s ‘Countdown to the Globes’ to Feature Benedict Cumberbatch, Uzo Aduba, Michael Keaton

The star-studded special to air Friday includes interviews from award nominees, hosted by Meredith Vieira

NBC’s preview to the Golden Globes Awards ceremony, “Countdown to the Globes,” to air Friday will feature a roster of stars from film, television and series on streaming websites.

Hosted by Meredith Vieira, the special includes interviews from nominees such as Benedict ‘s Cumberbatch (“The Imitation Game”), Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”), Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”), Uzo Aduba (“Orange Is the New Black”) and singer John Legend for his nominated ballad “Glory” featuring rapper Common from the film “Selma.”

Joining Vieira as host are E!s “Untold” host Maria Menounos, “NBC News” reporters Cynthia McFadden and Tom Brokaw.

The NBC News production airs Friday in anticipation of the 72nd annual Golden Globes honoring achievements in film and television.

An NBC News production, “Countdown to the Globes” will air Friday, Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. Producers on the show include David Corvo, Liz Cole, Aretha Marshall, Marianne Haggerty, Justin Balding, Rob Buchanan, Brad Davis, Izhar Harpaz, Mary Murphy, Ann Preisman, Fred Rothenberg and Tim Uehlinger
