NBCU Promotes Meara Abramson Valenzuela to Hispanic Enterprises and Content SVP

Executive will support strategic decision-making and lead the analysis, planning and execution of key projects

NBCUniversal has promoted Meara Abramson Valenzuela to senior vice president, Planning and Strategy, Hispanic Enterprises and Content.

In her New York-based role, Abramson Valenzuela will support strategic decision-making and lead the analysis, planning and execution of key projects across the division’s businesses, which include Telemundo Network, Studios, Digital, Stations, Cable and International.

She will also review additional business opportunities, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue and monetization.

“Meara’s extensive knowledge of our businesses, her financial acumen and strong leadership will be great assets to our team,” said Marlene Sanchez Dooner, executive vice president, Hispanic Enterprises and Content — and to whom Abramson Valenzuela will report. “Her extensive experience in strategic and operational planning and her collaborative approach will help drive our division toward greater success.”

Prior to this appointment, Abramson Valenzuela was the vice president of Advertising Sales Planning, where she oversaw planning and deal structures for Telemundo and mun2. She joined NBCUniversal in 2004 as part of the Ad Sales Finance and Pricing group supporting NBC News, with a focus on MSNBC and CNBC.
