With a new “Star Wars” film in theaters, Fox News host Neil Cavuto is back to bashing the hit Lucasfilm franchise, calling the entire affair “stupid.” But this time he looped his own employers into the insults.

“I know I alienate people, but I’m old enough to remember the first ‘Star Wars’ movie. The promotion was identical, the lightsaber is identical,” Cavuto said on Friday’s episode of his Fox News program. “It’s not moved beyond, and I’m telling you, they gotta pack it up.”

“It’s stupid,” he continued. “And I’m telling all of you — especially those of you who are dressing up for the part, you’re grown adults and you’re dressing up as Darth Vader, Princess Leia — stop. Stop. What does it say about us?”

Cavuto even took a shot at Fox News parent company 21st Century Fox for its recent deal with Disney: “What kind of company would deal with a company that makes this stuff?”

This isn’t the first time Cavuto has groused about the “Star Wars” franchise on the air, the Fox News host mocked 2015’s “The Force Awakens” for failing to improve on the 1977 original, once again calling it “stupid.”
