Relativity has picked up U.S. distribution rights to chase thriller “Autobahn,” starring Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones, the company announced Monday.
“Autobahn” follows Hoult’s character Casey, who schemes to pull a drug heist for an eccentric gangster (Kingsley) in order to pay for his girlfriend’s (Jones) medical emergency while abroad. After a failed attempt, he embarks across Europe on an action-packed chase in a race against time with an evil druglord (Hopkins) to save her life.
IM Global and China’s DMG Entertainment financed the film, with additional financing provided by Sycamore Pictures and Ingenious Media.
The deal was brokered by Ford and Head of Business Affairs Deborah Zipser on behalf of IM Global. IM Global is also handling international sales.
