Oscar Isaac said he’d consider returning to the “Star Wars” universe, but only if Disney can figure out where it stands on fascism.

While Isaac previously said he’d return to the franchise if he needed “another house,” during an interview with GQ magazine published Monday, the actor said he’d rethink his decision on one condition.

“I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney,” Isaac, who plays “Star Wars” character Poe Dameron. “But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great.”

He added that if all goes well, “Star Wars” won’t be the only thing he’d discuss with the studio.

“If that happens, then yeah, I’d be open to having a conversation about a galaxy far away. Or any number of other things,” Isaac explained.

GQ noted that it conducted its interview with Isaac two days after ABC and Disney suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after remarks the host made following the Charlie Kirk’s murder. It also noted that Kimmel had returned to air four days after their conversation with Isaac. ABC-Disney owns the “Star Wars” franchise.

Isaac wasn’t the only Hollywood figure with choice words for ABC and Disney after the studio temporarily shuttered Kimmel’s late night show. Back in September, several celebrities and political leaders denounced his removal as an attack on free speech.

Actor and comedian Ben Stiller simply said, “This isn’t right.” And MSNBC’s Chris Hayes called Kimmel’s suspension “the most straightforward attack on free speech.”
