Before the gold on stage, the liquid gold in glasses is bubbling across town.
Andres Balazs’ awards weekend clubhouse Chateau Marmont started on Friday with a three-courses-of-Dom-Perignon champagne lunch to toast his friend of 25 years, Rory Kennedy, on her film, “Last Days in Vietnam.”
Early in the night, Ted Sarandos opened his house for Netflix’s party, before everyone rushed off to Friday night’s agency parties.

Up in Bel Air, Treats! magazine took over a mansion so big it looked like a museum. I later found out that the spread is worth $35.5 million, and that is not counting the valuables socializing inside on Friday night including Leonardo DiCaprio, Michelle Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, and the cover girl of Issue 8, Lydia Hearst, there with boyfriend Chris Hardwick.
Within the forest of towering models, Ryan Seacrest (arriving with his buddy Randy Jackson), Kevin Hart, and yours truly had trouble getting our bearings. For Seacrest, it would be his only non-school night of the week, sandwiched between his daily morning radio show and Oscar carpet hosting duties on Sunday.
The more private room with the cushy couches came from Heart of Omnia, the Bootsy Bellows guys’ new ultra lounge within a nightclub coming to the forthcoming Omnia in Vegas later this spring. The party house continues through Sunday night.
