Typically, awards ceremonies primarily feed the ego of those involved, but Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres went a step further at this year’s ceremony by feeding their stomachs as well.
Just shy of two hours into the ceremony, the host brought a pizza delivery boy onto the stage to feed the famous members of the audience.

And just when one suspected that history’s most-watched porn scene was about to go down, DeGeneres and her box-toting minion did the unexpected: They served hot slices to the folks at the Dolby Theatre.
With Brad Pitt handing out plates, Ellen made sure the pizza (from Big Mama’s & Papa’s, which really is quite tasty) was distributed to the rich and famous who, truth be told, can probably afford to buy their own pies.

“Kerry Washington is pregnant; she needs something,” DeGeneres declared as she worked the room.
Alas, the act of generosity was not fully appreciated by all in attendance; Jared Leto — who received a statuette Sunday night — passed his slice to his mother, because hey — he didn’t get that figure by shoving pizza in his face.
