Patton Oswalt and Christy Carlson Romano Join Disney’s Live-Action ‘Kim Possible’

Oswalt voiced fan favorite supervillain and mad scientist Professor Dementor in the hit 2002 animated series

Patton Oswalt and Christy Carlson Romano have joined the cast of the live-action “Kim Possible,” a Disney Channel Original Movie about an everyday high school girl who, in her spare time, saves the world from villains.

Oswalt voiced fan favorite supervillain and mad scientist Professor Dementor, and Romano voiced the title character in the hit 2002 animated series in which the live-action film is based.

Romano announced that she would appear in the film, set to debut in 2019, during “D23’s Saturday Morning on the Lot” event at the Walt Disney Studios Saturday, during a presentation celebrating the series.

The movie follows a high school girl named Kim Possible (newcomer Sadie Stanley), who moonlights as a secret agent with the help of her friend/sidekick Ron Stoppable (“The Goldbergs” star Sean Giambrone).

The rest of the cast includes Alyson Hannigan (“How I Met Your Mother”) as brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible (aka Mom Possible), Todd Stashwick (“12 Monkeys”) and Taylor Ortega will play fan-favorite villains Drakken and Shego. Connie Ray (“The Big C”) plays grandmother Nana Possible, Ciara Wilson (“OMG!”) plays new high school student Athena, Erika Tham (“Make It Pop”) plays Kim’s childhood frenemy, and Bonnie and Issac Ryan Brown (“Raven’s Home”) will play teen computer genius Wade.

Written by original series creators Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley with Josh Cagan, the upcoming TV movie will be directed by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky.
