Showtime unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming drama series “Billions” on Wednesday.
“What’s the point of having ‘f–k you’ money if you never say ‘f–k you’?” says Lewis.
“Billions” follows two highly ambitious and highly wealthy characters: U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and billionaire hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis). Set within the machinations of New York City power politics and finance, the series features a high-stakes game of predator-versus-prey.
Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad also star. The pilot was directed by Neil Burger (“The Illusionist,” “Divergent”), who also serves as an executive producer.
The series is written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (“Ocean’s Thirteen,” “Rounders”), and Andrew Ross Sorkin (“Too Big To Fail”).
