‘Pretty Little Liars’ Summer Finale Attracts 2.3 Million Viewers

Episode is also second-most-tweeted comedy/drama of the summer — only behind the “PLL” Season 5 premiere

ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” hauled in 2.3 million total viewers in its Tuesday summer finale.

In one of the network’s key demos — viewers 18-34 — 916,000 people tuned in. In the larger core demographic — those 18-49 — 1.3 million viewers watched Tuesday’s show.

Both represent the biggest original cable TV telecast across those demos last night.

As per usual, last night’s “Pretty Little Liars” was huge on social media. The finale was the second-most-tweeted comedy/drama of the summer, only behind the actual Season 5 premiere, the cable channel boasted in a press release.

Also, Tuesday night’s #RIPMona hashtag became the most-trending one in series history — and it was only introduced in the final few minutes of the spoiler-filled finale.

A Twitter TV audience of 4.7 million users saw over 890,000 tweets about the Season 5 finale. Those tweets were sent by 259,000 unique authors and generated more than 33.6 million impressions.
