Moshe Kasher’s ‘Racist Stephen Hawking’ Character Breaks Down Trump’s Wall (Video)

Kasher’s Hawking explains exciting new technologies for wall-thwarting

Moshe Kasher doesn’t get to play characters on “Problematic,” his new talk show about all things online and debatable. But in a recent visit to TheWrap Studios, he committed hard to a not-at-all-problematic character named Racist Stephen Hawking.

It was all for the greater good of explaining the potential flaws in President Trump’s proposed wall with Mexico. Many Kasher fans have met the character before, notably on Pete Holmes’ “You Made It Weird” podcast. But you don’t need any prior Kasher knowledge to thoroughly enjoy — or feel weird about thoroughly enjoying — his Racist Stephen Hawking character.

All you need to know is that Kasher is playing Hawking, but racist.

The real Stephen Hawking, by the way? Also not a fan of Trump or his wall.

Kasher, author of the autobiography “Kasher in the Rye” (it’s good) also explains why growing up one of the few white kids at an Oakland public school, living with a deaf mom, and doing scads of drugs makes him ideally qualified to host a show about internet outrage — one that addresses subjects like Islamophobia, gun control and the dark web.

If you like all this, you’ll probably also like the video we posted last week, in which Kasher explained why Stephen Colbert’s joke about Donald Trump’s mouth being a “cock holster” for Vladimir Putin wasn’t necessarily problematic.

“Problematic With Moshe Kasher” usually airs Tuesday at 10/9c on Comedy Central, but tonight’s episode on the dark web airs at midnight/11c.
