‘Quantico’ Brings Back Star Russell Tovey for Rebooted Season 3

The Priyanka Chopra-starring ABC series returns midseason with a new showrunner

Rusell Tovey is returning to “Quantico” despite his character’s departure last season.

Tovey, who plays Harry Doyle on the ABC series, will be a series regular on the third season that launches in midseason.

His return comes as the show is shaking things up. “Code Black” creator Michael Seitzman takes over as showrunner for Joshua Safran, whose departure was confirmed in May.

Yasmine Al Massri, a series regular on the first two seasons of “Quantico,” will not return for Season 3. The actress announced recently that she is leaving the show after having played identical twins Nimah and Raina Amin on Seasons 1 and 2.

Among other changes for Season 3 is the introduction of Marlee Matlin as former FBI agent Jocelyn Tuner, who lost her hearing in an explosion.

Safran told media outlets in April that Tovey had left the show, at least for the time being.

Executive producers for the new season are Seitzman, Mark Gordon, Nicholas Pepper and Robert Sertner. The Priyanka Chopra-led series hails from ABC Studios.

Tovey is repped by WME in the U.S. and Independent Talent in the U.K.
