Rachel Bloom Sings It: She Doesn’t Care About Awards Shows (Video)

“They have nothing to do with art,” the creator and star of The CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” sings

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s” Rachel Bloom doesn’t care about awards shows. At least that’s what she says in a new music video released Wednesday.

Beginning at Bloom’s publicist’s office at the “Headquarters of Hollywood,” the video sees Bloom bristle at the idea of campaigning for an Emmy nomination because she’s a true artist. When it’s suggested that she create a “fun” music video to promote herself and the show, the Golden Globe winner bursts into a song explaining how she really feels about awards.

“I don’t need to beg for some acclaim to desperately build my fame,” Bloom sings before taking the stage to accept her award for not caring about awards shows. (“That award kind of looks like an Emmy,” she’s reminded by a presenter.)
