The Classification and Ratings Appeals Board has upheld the R rating given to "It’s Complicated" for "some drug content and sexuality."
Directed by Nancy Meyers, the comedy stars Meryl Streep, caught in a love triangle with her ex-husband, played by Alec Baldwin, and a new suitor, played by Steve Martin.
Universal is releasing the film on Christmas Day.
